Ten candidates passing the police cadets' entrance examination were detained for questioning immediately after they reported themselves to the Police Club this morning.
The 10 candidates are among 1,000 candidates having passed the test and were required to report to the Police Club at the orientation ceremony before becoming new police officers.
They are among 50 candidates alleged by the Metropolitan Police Burea (MPB) for cheating in the entrance examination.
The Police Club was crowded this morning with successful candidates who came along with their parents and family members to attend the orientation course before becoming police officers.

MPB commissioner Pol Lt Gen Sanit Mahathavorn said a total of 52 successful candidates cheated the entrance examinations, and arrest warrants have been issued for all of them.
He said there are still nine successful candidates who have not yet reported to the police.
All the 10 cheaters were escorted to Phaholyothin police station where charges of illegal grouping to commit criminal activities, falsifying official documents, and violation the Computer Crime Act.
