Democrat party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva said Wednesday that he would ask the National Anti-Corruption Commission to investigate former defence minister Sukumphol Suwanthat for abuse of power over his dismissal from military service with 23-year retroactive effect.
The Democrat party leader said Wednesday that he felt greatly relieved after the Supreme Court revoked Sukumphol's order, sacking him from military service dating 23 years back since he first joined the service as a lecturer at Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy with the rank of acting sub-lieutenant.
He said that the dismissal order was unfair and was an act of abuse of authority of then defence minister Sukumphol.
He further said that he and his lawyer would take some time to study the Supreme Court's order before taking the case to the NACC against Sukumphol.
