Army holds commemorative ceremony to honour Rajabhakti Monument in Hua Hin

The Royal Thai Army today held a ceremony to commemorate the first anniversary of the establishment of the Rajabhakti Monument park in Hua Hin.

The ceremony was presided over by the Army commander-in-Chief Gen Teerachai Nakwanich, and attended by commanders of all the Army's bases across the country.

Apart from the commemorative ceremony to honour the bronze statutes of seven Siamese kings, it also marked the opening of the place where the eyesighting of the seven kings focusing on the same spot, about 250 metres from the basement.

Gen Teerachai said the second phase of the park project will include the construction of a museum under the basement of the monument, and of a solar cell farm, planting of more trees, a bike lane for exercise, and a 60 feet fountain.

Gen Teerachai also assigned the new army chief Gen Chalermchai Sitthisat to take care of the project after his retirement end of this month.
