CAAT Tells Passengers to Check Their Travel Amid South Asian Conflict

Bangkok: CAAT warns passengers to check their travel after airlines have to adjust their routes due to the India-Pakistan conflict. The current conflict between India and Pakistan has resulted in many airlines having to adjust their flight routes to avoid Pakistani airspace, which is an area at risk for air safety. This may result in some flights, especially between Thailand and Europe, having to adjust their travel times. In addition, the conflict between Israel and the Houthi group, where air strikes have been carried out by both sides, has affected air travel, which has had to adjust its routes to avoid areas of conflict.

According to Thai News Agency, the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) recommends that passengers, especially those with urgent needs such as connecting flights in third countries, closely monitor the situation and contact the airline they are flying with for the latest information on possible impacts so that they can plan their travel accordingly.

In addition, CAAT would like to ask passengers who may be affected to check their rights according to relevant regulations to ensure that they are protected according to their travel rights. CAAT will continuously monitor the situation and coordinate with relevant agencies to ensure the safety of passengers is a top priority.
