Thailand and the United States officially kicked off their joint military exercise codenamed "Cobra Gold" to strengthen their strong military ties.
The event today saw the Royal Thai Armed Forces began the annual military exercises with the U.S army at the Royal Thai Marine Corps.
According to National News Bureau of Thailand, the Cobra Gold military exercises will also be joined by Thailand's allies.
The event is held each year to forge military relations between Thailand and the U.S.
Over the span of 10 days, military exercises will be held at the Royal Thai Marine Corps in Chonburi province and military training grounds in Nakhon Ratchasima province.
