Dhammakaya followers offer alms to besieged monks

Followers of Phra Dhammachayo this morning held a ceremony in front of the besieged Dhammakaya temple to offer alms to monks.

The ceremony was held at 7.00 am and attended by about 500 followers at Talad Klang Klongluang market.

All alms will be brought inside as supplies after monks and followers inside the temple began to complain of food shortage and of running short of other daily necessities after some 3,000-men strong force started to encircle the large 2,000-rai temple to pressure the surrender of Phra Dhammachayo 10 days ago.

Officials of the Department of Special investigation allowed all alms to be taken inside the besieged temple by 10.00am.
