Deputy Prime Minister Gen Prawit Wongsuwan was back to work at the Defense Ministry today after having recovered from his sickness.
He chaired the meeting of the Defence Council to assess the recent unrest situation, including the bomb attack at the Phramongkutklao hospital.
In a brief interview before chairing the security meeting, Gen Prawit declined entire in his sickness following unconfirmed reports that he suffered from coronary artery disease.
On the hospital bombing, Gen Prawit only said that security authorities have questioned 40-50 people but still could not establish the actual cause.
He said authorities still need to question hospital staff.
He denied to point his finger to any particular group why the bomb was placed in front of the Wongsuwan room saying it is the dispensary room where people came to collect their medicines.
Wongsuwan is his family name and the bombing was suspected to aim at discrediting the military junta.
