Bangkok: DSI Director-General orders acceptance of "Zipmax" as a special case. Initially, there were more than 920 victims, with damages worth 1,019,000 million baht.
According to Thai News Agency, the Director-General of the Department of Special Investigation has approved the investigation of special case 43/2568 involving Zipmex (Thailand) Co., Ltd., or 'Zipmex'. The company advertised in public and online media, inviting people to deposit digital money in a wallet to receive returns via products like ZipUp, Ziplock, and ZipUp+. These returns were promoted at rates higher than those legally permissible for financial institutions. The company is accused of offering these returns despite knowing they could not legally sustain such a business model. On Thursday, April 24, 2568, at 10:00 a.m., the Informal Financial Business Division convened a meeting with the Special Case Investigation Team to establish investigation guidelines, plan the case, and coordinate with relevant agencies to enhance efficiency and benefit the victims.
The public is advised to obtain accurate information regarding the case via the Department of Special Investigation's website at www.dsi.go.th or through their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/DSI2002/.
