According to Thai News Agency, villagers near the scene recorded a clip of a fried meatball vendor's car on fire during an annual merit-making event at Huai Bang Sai Monastery in Mukdahan Province. In the clip, the fire can be seen engulfing the entire vehicle, causing vendors and villagers who attended the event to frantically help put out the fire until it spread and did not burn the motorcycle.
The news team went to the scene of the incident at Huai Bang Sai Monastery (Khum Prong Tawan), Ban Non Sawang, Village No. 10, Tambon Bang Sai Yai, Amphoe Mueang, Mukdahan Province. The incident occurred at the center of the monastery. Traces of baskets and equipment for selling meatballs were found burned. As for the motorcycle with a sidecar, the owner had already ridden it back home after the incident. Villagers at the scene reported that the motorcycle involved in the incident belonged to Mr. Hom, a local vendor who often sells in this area at various events. At the time of the incident, Mr. Hom lit a fire to fry meatballs for customers. It is believed that he forgot to turn off the gas, which caused the fire in the meatball frying pan to spread to the gas tank, causing a fire that damaged the area. Fortunately, it was put out in time, causing only minor damage.
