One Russian hired gunman who was wanted by the Interpol for killing some Russian politicians with war weapons has been arrested by Thai immigration officials in Roi-et.
Three German fugitives who were wanted by German police were also arrested by immigration officials. One of them was alleged to be the leader of a gang of Euro counterfeiting ring who was arrested at a house in Soi Pracha-uthit 129, Thon Buri.
Immigration officials said that the Russian fugitive had been entering and leaving Thailand seven times during his stay in Thailand with the last on April 19 and was staying in Roi-et.
Pol Lt-Gen Nathatorn Prohsunthorn, commissioner of Immigration Bureau, said that several Russian fugitives sought safe haven in Thailand.
