King Rama X voices concern over plight of flood-stricken people in the South

His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun has voiced concern over the trouble of people who are affected by the current flooding in the southern provinces and has instructed government officials to deliver life aid bags to the people, according to Lt Gen Piyawat Narkvanich, commander of the Fourth Army Region today.

The commander said the King is monitoring the flood situation in the South with concern and instruction was given to authorities to deliver life aid bags to the affected people.

Currently 11 southern provinces are flooded, he said.

Life aid bags were first delivered to affected people at the Ban Nern Thamuang Royal Folk Arts and Crafts Centre in Chien Yai district of Nakhon Si Thammarat province where 195 families of troubled have been evacuated from their flooded homes to live at the centre temporarily, he said.
