Bangkok: The Meteorological Department has issued a forecast indicating a 40% probability of thunderstorms in Bangkok and its surrounding areas, primarily in the afternoon to evening hours.
According to Thai News Agency, Thailand is expected to experience continued thunderstorms over the next 24 hours. This weather pattern is attributed to the southwest monsoon currently affecting the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand.
The department has also noted that the upper Andaman Sea will experience moderate wave activity, with wave heights ranging from 1 to 2 meters. In areas experiencing thunderstorms, wave heights could exceed 2 meters. Sailors in these regions have been advised to exercise caution and to avoid navigating through areas experiencing thunderstorms.
Bangkok and its vicinity are forecasted to experience thunderstorms in 40% of the area, mostly during the afternoon to evening. The expected minimum temperature in these areas will be between 26-28 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature is expected to reach 33-36 degrees Celsius.
