Bangkok: PDRC, PDRC, and the Dharma Army submitted a letter to the Medical Council to offer encouragement and keep an eye on the results of Thaksin's medical records. If the results have not yet been sent, they will storm Government House next Tuesday to personally demand the Prime Minister's attention.
According to Thai News Agency, representatives of the Student and People Network for National Reform (SNRN), the People's Center for the Protection of Institutions (PCD), and the Dharma Army submitted a letter to the Medical Council and are monitoring the medical records of former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra at the Police General Hospital. They aim to determine whether he received proper treatment from the time he was admitted to the Corrections Department Hospital and transferred to the 14th floor of the Police General Hospital until his discharge.
Mr. Pichit Chaiyamongkol, the leader of the PAD, expressed concerns about potential political interference in the Medical Council, considering its connection to the Ministry of Public Health led by a Pheu Thai Party member. He fears that this could lead to a cover-up of Mr. Thaksin's health issues. Mr. Chaiyamongkol is questioning whether the Medical Council has received the necessary medical documents from the Police General Hospital and is challenging the authenticity of Mr. Thaksin's reported illness. He seeks to uncover whether there was any collusion among doctors to conceal the truth. In the absence of a response from the Police General Hospital, he plans to visit Government House on Tuesday, January 21, to meet Prime Minister Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra and personally address the matter.
