The three Palestinian Arabic dailies Tuesday focused on the Israeli forces' continuing provocative visits to Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in Jerusalem.
The dailies said Israeli policemen on Monday broke into Al-Aqsa Mosque, provoking tension with worshipers who chanted religious slogans in defiance.
Al-Quds and Al-Ayyam said the United Nations accused Israel of disregarding calls by the Middle East Quartet to halt settlement construction in the West Bank.
Al-Quds and Al-Hayat Al-Jadida quoted the spokesman of the Palestinian Presidency, Nabil Abu Rudainah, as saying: International and Arab efforts are underway to enforce the two-state solution.
Al-Ayyam and Al-Hayat Al-Jadida reported that the Arab League has demanded the establishment of a new international body for the peace process. The new body will be responsible for reviving the Palestinian-Israeli negotiations in a scheduled timeframe.
Al-Quds and Al-Ayyam reported that Israeli authorities accepted to conditionally release the body of the Tha'er Abu Ghazaleh, a Palestinian who was killed by Israeli forces in October 2015.
Al-Quds said that the Israeli Defense Minister, Avigdor Lieberman, refused to strike a deal with Hamas on the restoration of the bodies of the two Israeli soldiers, who have been held by Hamas since the 2014 war.
