Nine ministers to be questioned by the EC over their qualifications

The Election Commission is to invite nine cabinet ministers for questioning regarding their qualifications as petitioned by the legal team of the Pheu Thai party.

Mr Ruangkrai Leekitwattana, a member of the Pheu Thai party's legal team, petitioned the EC , questioning the qualifications of the nine ministers, namely Deputy Prime Minister Wisanu Krua-ngarm, Foreign Minister Don Paramavinai, Finance Minister Apisak Tantiworawong, Deputy Education Minister Panadda Diskul, Digital Economy for Society Minister Pichet Durongkaveroj, Labour Minister Gen Sirichai Ditthakul, Industry Minister Uttama Saovanayon, Deputy Commerce Minister Sonthirat Sonthichirawong and Tourism and Sports Minister Mrs Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul.

Ruangkrai alleged that the nine ministers were unqualified because of conflict of interests and, hence, they should be disqualified.
