Pattaya: A gang of Pakistani Indians tricked a young Indian man into buying an expensive herbal medicine, claiming that it would cure his illness in the blink of an eye. When he realized that he had been tricked, he went to file a police report and warned people not to fall for it. According to Thai News Agency, an Indian man named Mr. Mayur, 34 years old, filed a complaint with Pol. Lt. Akkharapong Saenputawong, Deputy Chief of Investigation, Pattaya City Police Station, after he was certain that he was a victim of two Pakistani men who offered to sell herbal products mixed with honey, exaggerating their properties and at prices higher than the general market price, causing him to lose 20,000 baht in assets. The incident occurred at a herbal shop on Pattaya Second Road, Nongprue Subdistrict, Banglamung District, Chonburi Province. When he realized that he had been tricked, he traveled to file a complaint to proceed with legal action. The Indian man hopes to warn other tourists not to fall prey to these gro ups of people. He said that while he was walking along Pattaya Second Road, two Pakistani cheerleaders noticed that both his hands had birthmarks, so they approached him and introduced him to a shop selling a magical herbal product that would definitely cure the disease in just two weeks. Until returning to eat at a restaurant, a foreigner noticed the package that the shop had put a magic medicine in and told him that he had been tricked. In Pattaya, there were tourists who were tricked in this manner by a group of Pakistani guests and a Thai shop owner who colluded to trick him into buying products that exaggerated their properties and at unrealistically high prices. There were many victims. He was certain that he had been tricked and hurried to go and file a complaint. Initially, Pol. Lt. Col. Akkarapong recorded the daily record as evidence and coordinated with the police investigation team to inspect the said shop to find the facts in order to prosecute all related persons. It was also reported that th e incident had many victims, some of whom filed a complaint, while others had already returned to their country. While Pattaya Tourist Police officers have joined forces with Chonburi Provincial Health Officers to crack down and arrest many times, the gang that deceives tourists by selling unlicensed herbal products, boasting about their properties and exaggerating the prices, has no fear of the law, does not care about Pattaya's image, is not deterred, and continues to use this method to make a living.
