Peeping Tom Arrested After Falling from Roof and Stealing Underwear in Nakhon Si Thammarat

Nakhon Si Thammarat: A man accused of stealing underwear and peeping at women was apprehended after a dramatic fall from a roof. Residents of the house witnessed the incident and chased him away with sticks, leading to his arrest by local police. However, the man's mother secured his release, asserting that her son was innocent.

According to Thai News Agency, CCTV footage from a residence in Village 1, Na Wae Subdistrict, Chawang District, captured the man sneaking onto the property during daylight. The footage revealed him selecting clothes and peeking through windows before climbing onto the ceiling to spy on women showering. His escapade ended abruptly when he fell through the roof, alerting the household members who pursued him.

These incidents were reportedly not isolated. Locals stated that the man had repeatedly trespassed to urinate and steal underwear but had gone unreported until this family decided to act. They presented CCTV evidence to law enforcement, viewing the man as a societal threat and fearing for the safety of their daughter.

After filing a report, the police arrested the suspect, but his mother intervened to secure his bail, dismissing the allegations. She allegedly mocked the complainants, asserting that neither the police nor anyone else could take action against her son. In response, the victim took preventive measures by cutting down trees near her home and building a wall to deter further intrusions. Frustrated by the man's continued behavior at other residences, she released the footage to alert the community.
