Prime Minister pens a new song for his cabinet

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha has composed the lyrics of a new song to boost the morale of his cabinet ministers so they will continue to perform their duties with resolve to overcome obstacles to bring about sustainable prosperity.

The song, titled Saphan (Bridge), was the fourth composed, so far, by the prime minister for his cabinet. The other three songs were Proh Thue Kue Prathet Thai (Because You Are Thailand), Kwamwang, Kwamsattha (Hope, Faith) and Kuen Kwamsook Hai Prathet Thai (Returning Happiness to Thailand).

The prime minister reportedly wrote the lyrics with Mr Wichien Tantipimonphan wrote the song and music was arranged by Major Surachai Thawilprai. It was sung by Sgt Maj Pongsathorn Porchit.

The song, in essence, tells the story of a man who is dedicated for the good of the country that he make sacrifice in helping overcome all the obstacles which stand in the way of achieving prosperity for the country. In wake of an obstacle like a fast current river, he is willing to make himself a bridge to enable the others to cross the river to the other side.
