Nakhon Si Thammarat: The State Railway of Thailand has issued a warning to the public to cease dangerous behaviors after a social media clip surfaced showing individuals filling railway tracks with soil to allow rice harvesters to cross. The organization emphasized the importance of adhering to rules and regulations to ensure the safety of both life and property.
According to Thai News Agency, the clip, although recently circulated, is an old recording depicting an unauthorized crossing between Yothaka Station and Ban Sang Station in Prachin Buri Province. This incident involved filling tracks with soil at kilometer 100+858.00 to facilitate the passage of a rice harvester, posing significant risks and potential damage to railway infrastructure and safety.
The State Railway of Thailand has since closed the area, installing white and red iron bars to prevent unauthorized access. Officials are now regularly monitoring the location to deter repeat incidents. The organization reports that no similar actions have been observed following these preventive measures.
The State Railway of Thailand calls for public cooperation to address this issue and foster a collective understanding of railway safety campaigns. They urge communities to enhance traffic discipline by following established rules and avoiding actions that could endanger lives and property.
