A foreigner plunged to his death in what was believed to be a suicide at the Suvarnabhumi international airport this morning (Thursday).
The airport director, Mr Sirote Duangrat, said airport security officials reported that at about 6.25 am a foreign man jumped from the fourth floor of the passenger terminal building near the escalator down to the ground floor.
Security officials and a medical team attached to the airport gave first aid treatment to the man before rushing him to Samittivej hospital where he was pronounced dead at 8.06 am.
An Irish and an Australian passports were found in the possession of the victim.
Officials are still trying to find out the motive of the suicide.
