Suspect Confesses to Killing Wife but Denies Involvement in Brother-in-law’s Death

Wiang Kaen: Police have taken 'Song Po', the suspect in the murder of his wife and her younger brother, to reenact the crime after his arrest. He has confessed to killing his wife but denies any involvement in the murder of his wife's younger brother.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Songpo was taken to reenact the crime scene at Ban Rom Fa Pha Mon in Wiang Kaen District. This is the location where the body of Ms. Tong, his wife, was discovered following his arrest. The reenactment took place amidst tight security, with relatives of the deceased present and attempting to breach the police cordon in an effort to harm the suspect. Police managed to maintain control of the situation, escorting the suspect back to Wiang Kaen Police Station.

Mr. Songpo has confessed to the murder of his wife, Ms. Tong, but continues to deny any involvement in the death of her younger brother, Mr. Chanchai. The Chiang Rai Provincial Police Commander emphasized the necessity of a thorough investigation. Despite the suspect's denial, police are committed to collecting comprehensive evidence to address societal concerns and provide clarity on all aspects of the case.
