China: Thailand's women's futsal team made a strong debut in the AFC Women's Futsal Asian Cup 2025, held in the People's Republic of China, with a decisive 4-0 victory against Bahrain in their first Group C match. Ranked 5th in the world, the Thai team faced off against Bahrain, who hold the 32nd position globally.
According to Thai News Agency, the match saw "Coach O" Thanathorn Santhanaprasit placing Sasiprapa Suksane as the goalkeeper, with Jenjira Bubpha, Ariya Sae-Ten, Nathamon Ajkla, and Darika Phianphailun completing the first five players on the field. The Thai team showcased their skills with goals by Sasikarn Thongdee in the 7th minute, Jenjira Bubpha in the 25th minute, Patitta Moonpho in the 26th minute, and Darika Phianphailun in the 31st minute, securing their victory over Bahrain.
The Thai women's futsal team is set to play their next match in the 2025 AFC Women's Futsal Asian Cup against Indonesia, ranked 17th in the world. This Group C encounter is scheduled to take place at Hohhot Stadium on May 9 at 7:00 p.m. Thailand time.
