Three cops injured in a car-train collision

Three policemen were seriously injured when a pickup truck in which they were travelling was rammed by a freight train as it was crossing a rail track at a railway crossing which has no barricade in KabinBuri district of PrachinBuri province on Saturday afternoon.

Rescue worker later arrived at the scene in Tambon Ban Na with hand tools and a tow truck. They managed to extract the three policemen who were trapped inside the heavily-damaged truck and rushed them to KabinBuri district hospital for medical treatment.

The three injured police officers were identified as Pol Lt-Col RoajanpornKenbuppa, Pol Lt SompobTumsua and Pol CplChatriOnkate.

The damaged pickup truck was later removed from the rail track by the tow truck.
