Volleyball Association of Thailand Celebrates Songkran Before South Korea All-Star Match

Bangkok: The Volleyball Association of Thailand organized the "Open House Nation Camp" activity to welcome Songkran, ahead of preparing the team for the All-Star Game in South Korea. The event, held at the Sports Science Center of the Sports Authority of Thailand, was attended by Thai national volleyball players and their families. According to Thai News Agency, the event was led by 'Mome' Thanatcha Suksod, captain of the All-Star team, along with veteran players 'Toey' Hattaya Bamrungsuk and 'Nan' Thatdao Nuekjang. Activities included traditional Songkran customs such as bathing Buddha images and pouring water over the heads of elders. This gathering allowed athletes to share their feelings and inspirations for playing volleyball, contributing to their selection for the national team. Following the Songkran festivities, the athletes engaged in practice sessions in preparation for the All-Star Game in South Korea, scheduled for April 19-20. "Coach Oat" Kiattipong Rachata-kriangkrai, head coach of the Thai w omen's volleyball team, discussed the team's readiness, highlighting continuous practice sessions with a focus on physical fitness, which he noted had positive outcomes. 'Mome' Thanatcha Suksod, the All-Star team captain, emphasized the importance of strengthening the relationship between Thailand and Korea through the upcoming game. She anticipated that the competition would be an exciting event.
