This follows their unexpected 1-5 defeat to Indonesia in the semi-finals, marking their first loss to the team in 16 years. According to Thai News Agency, head coach Miguel Rodrigo has been focused on preparing the team physically and mentally for the upcoming match. The team underwent rehabilitation at the swimming pool of the Sima Thani Hotel, as Rodrigo emphasized the importance of moving past their semi-final defeat and concentrating on the match against Australia. Despite having three injured players-Kritsana Aransanyalak, Pichayut Kittiphanuwong, and Thedsak Charoenphong-the team is committed to putting up a strong fight to secure third place. Narongsak Wingwon, the team captain, expressed the team's collective disappointment over the semi-final loss. He stressed the importance of learning from their mistakes and encouraged his teammates, especially the younger players, to focus on the upcoming game. Wingwon also extended an apology to Thai fans for the semi-final outcome, urging them to continue their support as the team strives for a podium finish. In addition to the third-place contest, the final match between Indonesia and Vietnam is scheduled to take place on Sunday, November 10th at 6:00 p.m., while Thailand and Australia will compete for third place earlier in the day at 3:00 p.m.
