Woman Arrested for Car Robbery Scheme Targeting Potential Buyers.

Bangkok: Metropolitan Police detectives have apprehended a 23-year-old woman, Ms. Natthida, who was involved in a car robbery scheme that targeted individuals seeking to purchase vehicles. The arrest took place in front of a convenience store in Bang Yai District, Nonthaburi Province. Ms. Natthida was wanted on a warrant issued by Thong Pha Phum Provincial Court for her role in "jointly robbing property by using a vehicle to commit the crime or taking the property away or to escape arrest." According to Thai News Agency, the case began on October 26, 2024, when Ms. Natthida and her gang contacted a victim under the pretense of purchasing a white Toyota Fortuner. They arranged to meet in Nong Lu Subdistrict, Sangkha Buri District, Kanchanaburi Province. After the victim booked a room in the area, the suspects broke in at approximately 5:00 a.m. on October 27, 2024. The gang assaulted the victim and stole her belongings, which included the white Toyota Fortuner, around 5,000 baht in cash, a mobile phone, and i dentification documents. The suspects, numbering approximately seven, fled the scene using the victim's car and a black pickup truck. The victim subsequently filed a complaint with the investigation officer at Sangkhla Buri Police Station. During her arrest, Ms. Natthida denied the charges but admitted to being present at the crime scene. Authorities plan to further investigate the case and have taken her to Sangkhlaburi Police Station to proceed with legal action.
