Minister Pimpattra' is concerned about the people and SMEs in the North who are affected by floods. SME D Bank responds to the policy of going to the area to help alleviate the suffering urgently. Mr. Pichit Mitrawong, President of the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Bank of Thailand (SME D Bank), said that many provinces in the northern region have been affected by natural disasters such as heavy rains, flash floods, mudslides, and forest runoffs, which have caused direct and indirect problems for people and business operators in terms of their lives and occupations. Ms. Pimpattra Wichaikul, Minister of Industry, is very concerned about the people and SME operators in the area. Therefore, she has ordered SME D Bank, as an agency under supervision, to provide urgent assistance. SME D Bank responded to the policy by initially visiting and giving encouragement to the bank's branch executives in the area and providing necessities for living to the victims in various areas, both in Nan and Phrae provin ces, to alleviate their suffering, including surveying the damage and needs of the affected SME entrepreneurs to promptly provide appropriate assistance through the measures that the bank already has in place, including debt repayment suspension measures and capital loan measures for business repair and rehabilitation.
