House of Representatives, The Prime Minister reveals that the Cabinet has given the green light to the plan to select the country's senators on 26 June. The results of the selection of the national senators will be announced on 2 July 2024. Mr. Settha Thavisin, Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Said after the Cabinet meeting that the Cabinet meeting agreed with the Office of the Election Commission (EC)'s proposal to draft a Royal Decree to select members of the Senate (Senators) and to prepare a draft plan for selecting Senators, which will be announced as follows. 1. Application date set for 13 May 2024. 2. Announcement of selection day District level senator 9 June 2024 3. Select provincial senators on 16 June 2024. 4. Select the country's senators on 26 June 2024. and 5. Set the date for announcement of the results of the Senate election on 2 July 2024 . Source: Thai News Agency
