Physics major student of KKU wins a prize at the International Inventor Day 2023, ready to enter the international researcher path with the innovation that attracts the judges for its real usability

February 5, 2023 at the “2023 Inventor Day” at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Center, Bangna – The National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation held an activity called “Inter Invention Talk”. The event was held for 5 days from February 2-6, 2023 from 09.00 a.m. to 17.00 p.m. at the Event Hall 100-102, BITEC Bangna. Mr. Yuthanakorn Kanapan, a PhD student under the Material Science and Nano-Technology Program, Department of Physics, Khon Kaen University, presented his work on “Resources of Circulating Materials for Producing Silicon as Fast-Charging and Discharging Electrodes for Battery Industry”. The invention won a golden medal and a Grand Prize Commercial potential award as a piece of work with internationally high industrial potential from the 2022 Kaohsiung International Invention & Design Expo (KIDE 2022). This event was organized at Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. Yuthanakorn Kanapan joined the event as a speaker who built inspiration for listeners, by talking about his path from a student to a researcher, and how to step onward into the commercial world. The event was of interest among school and university students as well as lecturers and researchers.
