Cambodia
Cambodia reported 1085 cases, a 3% decrease compared to the same time period in 2021. P. falciparum + mixed cases and P. vivax constituted 12% and 86% of cases, respectively.
China (Yunnan Province)
Yunnan reported 35 P. vivax cases. Among those, no indigenous cases were reported.
Lao People’s Democratic Republic
Lao People’s Democratic Republic reported 668 cases, a 47% decrease compared to the same time period in 2021. P. falciparum + mixed cases and P. vivax constituted 26% and 74% of cases respectively.
Myanmar
Myanmar reported 24166 cases of which 16% were P. falciparum + mixed cases and 84% were P. vivax. It should be noted that only partial data was available for Myanmar during this period.
Thailand
Thailand reported 3513 cases, a 290% increase compared to the same time period in 2021. P. falciparum + mixed cases and P. vivax constituted 3% and 96% of cases, respectively.
Viet Nam
Viet Nam reported 188 cases, 141% increase compared to the same time period in 2021. P. falciparum + mixed cases and P. vivax constituted 76% and 24% of cases, respectively.
